Notes on Chaucer's Canterbury Tales

This title had two type settings. The first was in the fall of 1929 with 602 pages and no text in the margins.

The second type setting was in the fall of 1946 with 642 pages set in a larger font and marginal text identifying the book and the current chapter: Verso pages have "The Canterbury Tales" printed in the left margin near the top of each page; recto pages have the title of the current tale (for example, "The Knightes Tale") in the right margin near the top of the page.
