Notes on Proust's Within A Budding Grove Barry Neavill points out that the jacket of the first printing for this title has a fall 1929 list but the first printing has a spring 1930 list at the end of the book (includes Hemingway, Sun Also Rises but not Goethe, Faust). Lists at the end of ML volumes were printed from different plates than lists inside the jackets, and jackets may have been printed by a different printer than the books. The first printing was for 10, 000 copies. The second printing (December 1930) was for 3, 000 copies.
