Notes on Gilbert's Pinafore

This was one of the first printings in the Modern Library after its acquisition by Cerf & Klopfer. The dust jacket still bears the distinctive thick separator lines favored by Boni-Liveright.

The final printing of the dust jacket (Spring, 1939 over a style 7 binding) is stamped Discontinued as were the final DJ printings for The Great Gatsby and a few other titles.
