Notes on Moliere's Plays

There were two versions of this title distinguished from each other by introductions and the presence (or absence) of notes about each play. Waldo Frank wrote the original introduction, replaced later by an introduction (plus some notes) by Francis Fergusson. The date of the replacement is uncertain: The Fergusson introduction was written for the Modern Library college editon paperback in 1950 and added to the next regular ML printing. The earliest spotted Fergusson intro in the ML hardback is the Spring of 1952.

The titles of the six plays are the same in both versions, as are the translations.
