Notes on Gide's The Counterfeiters This entry was in the series with the number 187 from 1931 to 1946 when it was discontinued. It re-entered the series in 1962 with the new number 327 (and 408 titles listed on the inverse of the dust jacket) when Journal of The Counterfeiters was added to the volume.It was the first title to be published in binding #7. New plates were created for The Counterfeiters/Journal in 1969. The new plates resulted in an increase in the page count from 432 to 467 even though there was no real change to the content.
