Hi Modlib folks,

[I also sent this to the Everyman?s Library email list, sorry if you see it twice]

Maybe you saw this somewhat breathless article in the NYT about these new, sideways mini books published by Dutton (now a Penguin Random House imprint).

Tiny Books Fit in One Hand. Will They Change the Way We Read? Dutton, a Penguin Random House imprint, has just released its first batch of mini books, with a box set of novels by the best-selling author John Green. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/29/business/mini-books-pocket-john-green.html

First of all, Dutton + Penguin + Random House.

The big reprint publishers altogether now.

I ordered this box set (about $25).

Some photos attached. Reminds me of the old Armed Services reprints.

A curious attempt to reinvigorate tangible book publishing with a variant on the old, small format reprint series theme.

Spotted these in the wild at my local Barnes & Noble in the clearance section. I thought the format (and title choices) interesting, as they feel very much like reading on your phone.
