A WSJ article on Amazon's offer of the complete set of Penguin Classics (1082 titles) for about $8000. This is about double the number of titles ever in the ML and about the same number that were in Everyman's.

So who of you would have bought a complete set of ML? 1920? 1930? 1960?

I would have bought the complete ML set in spring of 1917.

Price: $6, 658.87 + $1, 331.12 sourcing fee

What's a "sourcing fee"?

Tempting, very tempting...
